To the Wyatt House:
"Enormously grateful for the good things that have happened
to me since I have been in your charge. Your caring and
intelligent thoughtfulness will always be remembered. I wish
you all happiness in the '02 I do hope Wyatt House will ever
be tended by such great people! Sincerely,
Claire Peters"
(now 95 years old)
"Many thanks for the wonderful support and kindness for my Dad
last year. You made a difficult time so much easier me and
were a blessing to me. Thanks for all you did each day for the
seniors and their families."
"My family and I would like to thank you very much for your
thoughtfulness and caring sensitivity while Mom was living at
the Wyatt House. I know how much this meant to her and it
meant so much to us. Following Dad's death, you truly provided
the environment that was uplifting to Mom and we wanted you to
know how appreciative we were and still are. I am so pleased
with the new friendships Mom made and she has certainly
enjoyed the Wyatt's various activities."
To the Wyatt House Kitchen Staff:
"A tribute to you for
feeding the varied tastes of 45 people. We all grew up in
different environments and you do a great job making all
stomachs happy: from pancakes to Roast Beef."
"Dear Kitchen Staff, Your coconut cream pie and upside down
pineapple cake are worth the wait until the end of the day!!
Thanks"
"When I moves into a retirement setting, I expected to be
served food reminiscent of my college dormitory. Boy was I
wrong: Kathy's eggs Benedict could compete with any served as
the finest hotels in Seattle! Jake's Cinnamon rolls put all
Bainbridge Bakeries to Shame! The salmon must be caught that
morning and cooked while still flopping! Of course your leg of
lamb can not be beat! Thank you for each day of delightful
meals."
"Until I moved to the Wyatt House, I forgot what homemade
soups tasted like. Melvin's split pea and his roast beef
barley soup are wonderful! Kathy's cabbage soup is a treat!
Steve's egg drop soup is amazing. Last week Jake made a backed
potato soup that was great. Living alone, I usually fixed
myself a peanut butter sandwich. Having a hot cup of soup is a
real taste treat and I know it is better for me."
